misleading sorry

I am so sorry that the title of this blog is a bit misleading. I started out just blogging parchment stuff and now I am brave enough to show other crafty-ness too. So, I hope you will enjoy the blog and even if you don't do all or any of the crafts listed I hope you enjoy looking at what I created!I will be blogging more parchment as well has other things! RAIN!Again!

I am getting very fed with the weather. More liquid sunshine today in my part of Cumbria! It is getting beyond a joke now. Walking the dog this morning I came home and got changed out of dripping clothes has I was soaked to the skin, even if I was wearing a parka! So, getting into mixed media and the like as I seem to be doing, I came up with this page. June is almost over and we are past the longest day so hopefully at some stage in July we will get some sort of summer. Says she who is looking up to the sky thinking "someone please turn off the tap and turn the heat lamp on!"

art journalling and mixed media

For a while I have had the odd dabble into the world of art journals. I thought it was time I stopped dabbling and really dipped my toe in a bit deeper. Showing you these really is getting in deeper! But has a friend told me the other day "we all have to start somewhere!" I brought a book by Janet davenport that hopes to teach me how to draw faces. These are my first two efforts. The third picture is my very first dabble into mixed media. So it seems I am spreading my crafty wings!

scrapbooking

here is another page. it is for a 8x8 album I am doing in memory of my hubby Kevin. One page is us together and then a page of him alone. Doing this album has been far from easy but at times healing. Then there have been times I needed to walk way from it has it was too much to handle emotionally.

More parchment pieces, I don't seem to have made so many parchment pieces up to now. I have been scrapbooking instead. I shall always go back to parching its my first love.

I made this today.In fact I made another one from the same pattern which had all white work and golden bells. Sorry picture is on my tablet and not this laptop.

sunflower

I made this today, coloured with blend-able pencils. I have had this Florence Holmes pattern for ages. I have not been well but today felt a tad better. Has long has I don't eat I don't get the tummy pains! :(
