last post for October

Good evening folks. the earlier nights are drawing in so quickly now. Time to draw the curtains and put the fire on and tea-times of stews and casseroles and warming fare . maybe the odd hot chocolate topped with cream or that hot toddy!
this will  be my last post for October. I have a mix of parchment and scrapbooking. First of all two cards I will use for wedding anniversaries. The red one is backed with a nice luxury Kanban paper. and pearls in the centre of the flowers. the rings are painted in with gold ink. The teddies are a bit of fun I think. Both were cards I really enjoyed working on.
Below are two cards designed my Judith Maslen. the Santa was a free pattern. Judith is very kind and often offers a new free pattern on her web page. The horse looks simple but it is a little tricky to emboss. the colours are dorsed from the rear of the card.I added a close up of the horse.

Next a card by Zully from the Parchment Craft Magazine December 2015. This one took me some time to make mainly because for some reason getting the grid design to go around the corners just wouldn't work out right! My fault entirely, I just had a mental block! But I am glad I kept the faith and kept on trying and then that feeling when it all falls right and someone turns the light on! LOL snowflakes were supposed to be grid worked but I hold my hands up and I used die cuts. I had spent so much time in making this card I just wanted it done!

close up of that grid work!

Leo. Leo gallops up the stairs and then has to wait for me to join him. I use a stair  lift and its slow. It always seems he sits there looking at me and I can see him thinking "Will you hurry up" It is a page I made for a challenge on a web page

Disney page. sorry for the flash glare on this

it is   a page made for UKS weekly challenge. I needed to use more then 4 patterned papers, a camera icon, one photo, butterflies and stamping. I stamped the date on the camera but the glare from the flash hides that. I used a Bramble fox perspective SMILE in the bottom right corner.
Well, that is all folks for this month. I have no idea what I shall be working on next. I have nothing started on my table, so tomorrow I will find something new.
Each day offers new challenges for us all, we all have that in common whatever our lives are like, we all face challenges in one way or another at some time or another. So, lets help others when we can, accept the differences between us, whatever they may be. Learn to agree to disagree and sort out the problems by talking, communicating not fighting and being  unkind to each other.
Smile and be happy people-- spread the love!
feel free to leave a comment if you wish,
see ya next time!

Hello Again

Well, good evening, we are on the eve of the Birmingham Marathon!  Good luck to everyone and especially my daughter Karen and son in law Marc who are taking part for the first time! So scrap booking has been keeping me busy. First of all photos from the zoo back in June. This is Karen getting her face painted has a giraffe. Yes there is a letter "a" missing on the page. It must have come unstuck and when I get the cricut out again I  will cut another! I used the cricut to cut the giraffes, which I thought looked cute. I have added a close up of those

Below is a page for a up coming challenge on UKS, the lady hosting is doing All Saints day, so a photo of a loved one passed on. :( a huge title or embellishment and something stamped.. So, hard one to do for me because we are very near the anniversary of when we lost our special person.I rubber stamped on craft card and onto the tiny squares. And added a saying.

Now DISNEY! whoop! Thanks to Pol Prince for cutting the cut files for me. She really is a kind lady and very talented. First one is me standing my the castle and I did a little experimenting here. I sprayed some spray  glue onto the page then added glitter. Then I had to lightly scrub some of the glitter off. I think it kind of worked not has well has I had hoped but I'm quite happy with it.

Me again, I mean how does anyone keep calm when they go to Disney. And its a surprise trip to boot.

Next is the castle by night! Just love those Mickey hands!

Bit of parchment of finish off, a Christmas card which is a design by Anne Quinn. Glitter and more glitter LOL. I  made the topper 3d.

well folks that's it for now. Remember be kind out there, smile, be happy and think positive! until next post byeeee

hello again

Good evening everyone,
I hope everyone is keeping warm and dry. The nights are drawing in ever earlier. I have been busy. Parchment craft and scrapping this time.   first scrapping, the first page is of my good self. Photo was taken by my granddaughter before we left to go to my birthday meal. I wanted the papers to look like a cake. The 65 was on top of the  real birthday cake   my daughter Karen made for me so were the candles. I HAD SUCH A GREAT BIRTHDAY. I was sent to Disney Paris by my family, and spending that time with family was amazing. Go people go! to Disney its pure magic, you can't help but feel it and smile all the time you are there.
Below   Emoji papers are used. This is son in law Marc at Disney USA having fun with the Simpsons.

Now the first of Disney Paris pages. The Princesses. I used a paper by Scrapberry and their Juliet collection. I added a jeweled branch and hung charms from the branch.I also used a 3d Cinderella and some extra flowers.Behind the photos I used some tulle in blue. The light blue perspective is from Bramblefox. They are so light to use, easy to glue and make excellent additions to pages. And they are a very reasonable price and they are adding to their collections all the time. check them out at www.bramblefox.co.uk there will be heaps more pages from my trip in  later posts. So watch this space! or blog! LOL

I have added to close up of that prospective and the branch and charms. You can see the tulle and 3d item too. The tulle is very delicate and just right for a princesses page.

Parchment. Christmas and lessons. The lantern is a new design by Judith Maslen. The bauble is a older pattern from a old version of Parchment craft magazine. the bauble could be removed from the card and hung on a tree.

Close up of the bauble. coloured in blendable pencils.

Last of all a free pattern by Adele Griffins. Traced in pearlized ink and embossed.
So, that is all I have to show you this post.I hope you like what you see. I love crafting I find it relaxing. So, remember to spread the love, smile and give a helping hand where needed if you are able..everyone needs someone! Until next post.. byeeeeeeee

Hello Autumn

Hello Everyone, Autumn weather is here windy and cold and wet! and early dark nights and    darker  mornings. I have some parchment and some scrapping to show you. I have had a fab time away at Disney Paris, a surprise birthday treat from my awesome family. and I will be scrapping the photos for ages I have so many! But that is for another time.
Below is a pattern by Dorthy Holness something a little different. When it stands its like a tall square. But it will fold flat for posting. I painted the flowers with felt tips and a damp paint brush . doing a few layers to build up colour. The lace panels are worked separate and sewn onto card then added to the main piece, they hide where the flowers have been released from the main parchment at the folds. there is a close up up to show the panels

Scrapbooking. I am still catching up scrapping events.
First is granddaughter Chantel. a couple of snap chat shots. I loved these so I just had to scrap them. I used my minc machine, first time in ages to add foil detail to the square tag. I managed to be able to use the negative of that  too behind the main square.

Below is a close up of the minc foil. the stars are snip art. I have a square of thin chipboard stars and has the name suggested I just used scissors to snip them up into the size I wanted.

The Zoo in July. Chester Zoo was brilliant.  Wide huge enclosures for the animals, a boat ride, and a bat walk, Which I will never do again, yuk. dark and smelly and bats nudging your hair!no thanks!lol
I took this close up to show that once the arrow paper clip is removed and map still opens

Well that's it for this post. I hope everyone is well and happy. Thought for this time....
"If you are looking for a friend without faults..then you will never have any friends!"
worth remembering, we all have faults, no-one is prefect... so lets enjoy people has they are instead of trying to change them into what we want them to be!
take care out there and see you all next post..whenever that will be!
