last posting for November

Hello everyone, I hope you are keeping warm. Its freezing here! The wind is really cold and the fell tops are white. Burrrr.... So what have I been doing? Mainly scrapbooking... so I'll start showing you what I have been doing I really needed to get busy with Disney Paris pages. But I have made one piece of parchment and a art journal page. so first RUN DISNEY.  My daughters have raised so much cash running for Macmillan nurses. I am so proud of them both!
Below is another run Disney page also in these photos are son in law Marc and granddaughter Chloe who also ran at Disney.

A close of the details making the most of what was left of the patterned paper!

Next below will be the header page in my scrapbook for the parade pages. I used a Sissix set of dies for the title.

This page shows the various dancers that were in the parade. the costumes were lovely. Fabulous perspective embellishment is by Bramble Fox

Next a family pic, well those of us that made it to Disney Paris. But I thank everyone that made my trip there possible.

Below I have to thank Pol Prince for cutting the file for me. I used a dazzlers texture paste and a stencil for the stars.

close up of the stars.

Next my art journal I had messy fun this morning printing with leaves and using Brusho paints. When will I ever remember to use gloves when doing this. I now have green blue and red tinted finger tips! I used water colour paper. this is the background I made with the leaves and a close up of it below

Below is the finished page, remember those leaves I covered in gold leaf? Well here is where they ended up I added some metal pieces and stones out of a tin of mixed media pieces I brought from The Craft Box. Below is a close up.

Last but not least is parchment A pattern by Florence Holmes. Lovely to make and I painted the leaves by rubbing felt tip onto a tile and picking it up with a brush and using a round and round method. Which is keeping the brush pointed to the outside edge of the leaves and making tiny circles with the brush. The colour gets pushed up the brush and fades  away has it travels up the brush. Sorry about the shadow about the edge, the day light through the window was picked up by the camera.
So, remember folks spread the love, be nice to each other and keep safe and warm. Until next blog post byeeeeee

hello again

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and I'm sure most if not all of you are busy planning Christmas and getting shopping done.  Now the Chinese whisper swap reveal is done I can show you some pages I have added to my scrapbook. First of all is a page showing Chloe my granddaughter who ran a 10k at Disney Paris. Dressed has Minnie Mouse ready to party for Disney 25th anniversary.
Below is a page of my birthday meal and when I found out I was going to Disney. One picture is of my amazing family and the other my good self with my Donald Duck cake which was amazing and made by daughter Karen

Lastly a page for Halloween. My son Paul and his wife Tina at a party. I fussy cut the ghost paper which I think is a fun patterned paper and ideal for the photo. I added some die cuts of ghosts and a witch on a broom etc.

Now parchment! Below one design made two ways! Pattern by Mary Kerr. I love her designs They are amazing to make. I used micro beads in the centre of the flowers on one card and on the other liquid pearls. I also used some glitter on the petal edges on the  card on the right.
Here is a close  up of the design so you can see the difference in the effects in the flower centres.

Below, again are designed Mary Kerr  . same pattern made to ways.

A close up so you can see how mounting on a different colour card can affect the card. One is a tent fold and the other a standing fold, with backing paper added to the back I also used different glitters. the green one has a fine white glitter and the blue one, a glitter designed to look more like snow

My next one is a Anne Quinn pattern. I gave one of my classes this pattern and told them to  enjoy having fun. I haven't seen what they did with it yet, something I looking forward too. I used 3d. I 3D'ed the two ladies first and then finally just the lady in yellow/green.  The gentleman just remains flat .

Now a Judith Maslen pattern. I asked Judith if she had a Christmas pattern with a horse on. She is brilliant at designing cards that are easy to make and look stunning. This one is no different. The horse is painted in black ink, but  you could use a brush marker . To make it darker it is painted front and back of the parchment.

Again,  a pattern by Judith. I will use this one in a lesson. My class need to have practice to understand a printed grid pattern instruction. This one will be ideal. its easy to do and has several different patterns included

A close up of the dolphin design.

So, that is what I have been busy making. I hope you enjoy having a look at my handy work.
Take care out there but remember to be nice. Spread the love and understanding folks. Make the world a better place by a smile and if you can't say anything positive or nice  remember its best not to say anything at all. Life can be hard enough without nastiness and prejudice and malice. So smile say something nice and look on the bright side. until next post byeeeeee

video at last

this is the short video of the exploding box. It has  taken ove an hour and several attempts to upload! But I wasn't about to let it beat me!

Good evening. So far this blog post tonight has been a very annoying  thing to do! I have been sat here over an hour and trying to get a video to upload. I have given up trying! So here are two cards design by Anne Quinn. Grid work done on a diagonal grid.
below is a close up of the grid work.

the Choir Boy below is a design by Judith Maslen and it is a joy to make!
next, a still picture of what is on the video. An exploding box card design by Tina Cox I intend to post   these pictures and then try to upload the video on a separate post! I have to admit I'm getting quite frustrated with it now!
while walking the dog I collected some leaves. After washing and drying them I decided to have fun experimenting. with gold leaf flakes. I have little idea what I shall do with them but they look fab. I think they will end up in my art journal. I used gold, bronze and a mixed lot of coloured flakes
My art journal. there is a craze of drawing and colouring gem stones using blendable pencil This is my first attempt. I found out that the paper in this journal was very poor so I changed it for water colour paper which should give me better results. Plus I need to try doing this on parchment.

Scrapping is next. I cannot show all the pages I have made because they are part of a whisper swap and have to stay hush hush until we reveal in a couple of weeks. This one however isn't part of the swap. I wanted to use up rub ons. they have a shelf life and after that don't work well. I have a love hate thing going on with rub ons I have to admit. Close up shows the flower cluster. The photo is of two of my  beautiful granddaughters.

well I will go ahead the publish this and then hopefully the video with upload on its own post if not I'll try again tomorrow!
Until then I hope you have enjoyed looking at the blog. Please feel free to leave a message on here or twitter or face book. Remember folks. be nice and kind out there, accept folks  as they are and not  as you want them to be. Differences can be beautiful. Diversity means life is interesting. Be positive, kick out the negative .Life is a wonderful gift embrace it and all the lovely different people and the things around us. Value it... look after the planet and spread the love! right now that video wish me luck!
